IUTA participates in the TSIUC23 Conference “Reimagining ICT management”

Last November 16, the Conferences “Reimagining ICT management” were held in the Great Hall of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), organized by the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC) – TSIUC, and where the Institute of Applied Technology (IUTA) of the European University-IMF participated as a guest entity.

In this edition of the Conference, we wanted to address the role of new professional roles and skills in the organization and management of IT services, and we also wanted to deal with the management of the IT project portfolio, which must allow the university to achieve its strategic objectives. This portfolio of projects should facilitate the alignment of the IT strategy with the overall strategy of the university.

The European Digital Competence Framework provides a reference of 41 competences, as they are required and applied in an IT work environment, using a common language for competences, skills, knowledge and levels, which can be used, among others , in the provision of IT services and IT professional development by public and private organizations, IT professionals, HR managers and departments, higher education…

eUniv and Escola Institució Camps sign a collaboration and academic cooperation agreement

The Chancellor of the eUniv, Dr. Antoni Noguero, and the director general of the Escola Institució Camps (ISC), Mrs. Magda Camps, they signed a collaboration and academic cooperation agreement last November 8, 2023. This alliance establishes the basic rules for promoting eUniv studies among ISC students.

Dr. Antoni Noguero emphasized that this “is an important agreement to continue with the territorial implementation strategy of the eUniv” and that “the collaboration with the ISC demonstrates the potential of the eUniv methodology in training development of the youngest students”. For her part, Ms. Magda Camps has pointed out that “this collaboration will allow the ISC to expand the trips they offer to their students once they finish their studies”.

In addition, the agreement between the two entities envisages that teachers and members of both communities participate jointly in institutional events and collaborate in research initiatives.

Pedagogical conference on classical and biblical traditions in contemporary Catalonia

The eUniv School of Classical Languages collaborates in the organization of the Pedagogical Day on classical and biblical traditions in contemporary Catalonia, which took place last Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the headquarters of the Conciliar seminary Barcelona.

The Conference has been convened to commemorate the centenary of the Bernat Metge Foundation and the Catalan Bible Foundation, and is organized by the Catalan Society of Cultural History and the Open Institute of Catalonia.

The bibliographic fund of the School of Classical Languages of the eUniv has both the three complete collections of Bernat Metge’s bilingual texts (Greek, Latin and Christian), as well as the Catalan Bible, and is currently in the processing phase before the Andorran Quality Agency its study plan for the Bachelor in Classical Languages, a state university degree created by the Government of Andorra at the behest of the eUniv.

eUniv participates in the Conference on restoration and conservation of documents

On Thursday, October 12, 2023, the annual day of Catalan professionals dedicated to the conservation and restoration of museum and archival pieces was held, organized by the Arnau Mir de Tost Foundation in the town of Àger, in the region of La Noguera. This year the theme focused on archives and graphic documents, and Dr. J. M. Sans i Travé, eUniv senator, presented a paper on the institutional structure of the National Archives of Catalonia, of which he was director. Likewise, Dr. M. B. Escolà, academic prothonotary of the eUniv, explained the historical and current problems of university archives.

The OEC of the eUniv and ESRP collaborates with IX edition of the Symposium, a success

For the second consecutive year, the OEC (European Observatory of Communication) of the eUniv and ESRP has collaborated with the Symposyum Grafica. This sponsorship is part of the research center’s objectives, such as promoting scientific and doctoral research activities in the specific areas of Communication, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing.

The ninth international research meeting in graphic design and advertising was held on September 6, 7 and 8, 2023 in LISBOA (Portugal). In this edition, the host of the symposium was held at the TGRAF Center for Studies in Graphic Technologies of the ISEC Lisboa · Higher Institute of Education and Sciences.

This year’s Symposium will feature oral, online and poster presentations in relation to graphic design and advertising creativity by various speakers.

On the 6th of September, the inauguration, presentation and explanation of the objectives of the ninth edition took place and, on the 7th and 8th of September, several tables were held that made up the main body of the meeting. New Foreign Office of the eUniv in Quito (Ecuador)

The eUniv will have a new external office outside the Principality, the second after the one in Barcelona, which will be located in the capital of the Republic of Ecuador. The facility will have reception rooms, meeting rooms and an auditorium with capacity for fifty people.


This office will manage the development of the technology transfer agreement signed with the Ecuadorian University of the Pacific this 2023, and which is monitored by the IURNAT University Institute of the eUniv.


The Quito Foreign Office will be coordinated by Dr. Luís Vasquez, member of the eUniv Academic Senate, and his staff will be dedicated to attending to the academic and management needs of eUniv students from Ecuador.

Approved the study plan of the Bachelor in Political Science of the eUniv

Last Wednesday, July 12, the Government of Andorra approved Decree 358/2023, which approves the study plan for the Bachelor of Political Science at the Universitas Europaea IMF. The aforementioned decree was published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Andorra on July 19 of the current year.

This approved study plan is the eighth, and will be implemented at the F. Layret University College of the eUniv, like the rest of the courses in the fields of social sciences and arts and humanities.

Based on this approval, courses can begin to be offered during the next academic year 2023-24.

Visiting researcher of the eUniv doctorate at the University of Bologna

Dr. Victor Saínz de la Maza, visiting researcher at the Doctoral School of the eUniv, obtained the degree of doctor in veterinary medical sciences from the University of Bologna, and the panel formed by doctors D. Zambelli, L. Parma and chaired by Dr. Di Francesco awarded him the qualification of excellent cum laude last June 20.

The new doctor graduated in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science and Health from the University of Lleida, and much of his doctoral research was done at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). His collaboration with eUniv will from now on focus on the projects of the NAT University Research Institute.

Several eUniv representatives attended the event, including the director of the eUniv Doctoral School, the Academic Prothonotary, the Manager and the Prefect of the University’s Internal Quality Assurance Service.

The management of the eUniv Doctoral School visits the University of Bologna

Last June 20, a delegation from the eUniv Doctoral School led by its Director, Dr. Jordi Sauret, visited the University of Bologna with the aim of observing the functioning of doctoral theses defenses at the Alma Mater of European universities.

The eUniv delegates were able to attend and participate live in a Giornata de Difesa, in the morning, and in the Proclamazione event, in the afternoon, celebrated with all the solemnity in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna.

The Bolognese model orders several defenses of theses, belonging to the same department or specialty, in a single court, convened on two annual dates, which allows them to rationalize the procedures, a fact that the Management of the Doctorate School of the eUniv to highlight especially in their parliament.

eUniv begins the path towards Canon Law studies

Last June 19, a delegation from the eUniv led by Dr. Marc B. Escolà visited the headquarters in Rome of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, where he had a working meeting with Dr. Miguel A. Ortiz, professor of Canon Law at this Roman university.

In this meeting, all the options and the possibilities of developing a joint project of master’s level studies dedicated to Canon Law were evaluated, the results being highly satisfactory.

The eUniv delegation was also able to greet Dr. Luís Navarro, Rector of the PUSC, who expressed the institutional desire to establish inter-university agreements beneficial for all parties.

The eUniv already has several members of its Faculty of Law and Social Sciences who have doctorates or are specialized in the canonical legal field, which protects the solidity of the academic project.
